This information is off. There are 4 retainer roles. The max level for a retainer in that class is based on your existing class. So don't pick a class you don't use. Hunter: DoW/DoM, performance is based on average item level. Then there is one role for each miner, fisher, and botanist. Their performance is based on their gathering skill.

At lv90, my retainers tend to bring in a lot of Augmented Cryptlurker gear or accessories from the lv90 and lv89 dungeons. The more of those I still have in my Armoury or Inventory, the more likely I am to see Crystal deliveries.
